Why did he behave like this … ?
My friend and me were out in a cafe . There was this guy who was staring at me . I didn?t make eye contact with him .
When his friends came and sat beside us he came too .He didn?t sit next to me but a person between us. After a while he asked my name , age (both 23) etc etc. I was kind of shy so I replied shortly.
We went to a private party afterwards and we all introduced ourselves by name. He knew my name before but mispronounced it a few times after I said it , but in a mean way and kept on doing it even after I corrected him.
After a while I was trying to take a picture of me and my friend and the guy she had a thing with that night. He came and sat next to us and wanted a picture with us.I gave him a dirty look just to havee him back off , instead he insisted in a pushy way to make the pic for us.
When my friend and I parted I said goodbye everyone and he just looked at me, while the girl next to him was talking to me and waving.
He came after us at the door and just talked to my friend and wished her luck with her studies etc. etc. very sweet and nice…and then very shortly told me u too and went on being sweet to her.
I mean…he was probably just being polite at the beginning and I wasn?t really caring if he was liking my friend or not or that he showed her all respect throughout the night. And yes I was kid of rude and dismissive , mainly because I had a lot of drinks and wasn?t comfortable with him staring at me. According to my friend ,he looked the whole night.
But I mean , what did he want ?
Was he trying to get with my friend through me?
Did he thought of me as the easy one for the night and my friend as the more respectfull gf material ?

it depends on him
he might have been trying to make u jealous
he probably saw your hostility towards him and backed off in his rude ish way
or he might have might have plane: changed his mind to liking your friend more (thinking they got along better)
maybe he ran out of time and needed to leave
but odds are he didn’t know what hell he was doing
Guys don’t usually give much thought into some one being "girl friend material" they usually just think about weather they’re hot, fun, and if they seem interested

What is the next Vampire Chronicles movie they are planning to make?
So i hear that another one of anne rices "the vampire chronicles" are being made into a movie. I was just wondering what one of her books is being turned into the movie. Since they have already done Interview With the Vampire" and "The Queen of the Damned" i doubt they are doing either of those. I also dont think they are doing "The Vampire Lestat" because they have already made "The Queen of the Damned" which comes after that. I think, and hope, they are making "Tale of the Blood Thief" into a movie because it was an amazing book.

If you know which book they are turning into a movie or any other information on the upcoming movie please answer my question and ill love you forever.

From the news online, The Vampire Lestat seems to be the target for a new movie, as all the articles indicate that it will center on Lestat and how he became a vampire. We don’t get to see that in either Interview with the Vampire (which is, actually, Louis story) and The Queen of the Damned (the movie titled The Queen of the Damned was a travesti that spanned both The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of the Damned).

Robert Downey, Jr. has been rumored to be in talks for the role of Lestat.

There is nothing confirmed though.

I am not sure- try her site http://www.annerice.com/InTheMedia-Films .html

she says "With regard to Christ the Lord, Out of Egypt and Christ the Lord, The Road to Cana, we have had interest from film makers, but have not yet concluded a deal for a film."

"With regard to the Vampire Chronicles, we have hopes for high quality films in the future, and as with so many of my books, my agents work constantly on possible film projects".

"With regard to Cry to Heaven, we have been in film negotiations twice, but the outcome did not result in a film. The most promising news on this book is that a Broadway Opera may go into production very soon. The music and lyrics are absolutely beautiful. And I hope this work will be staged in the next couple of years. "

I heard this on Kevin and Bean last week and also read it here: http://www.pinkisthenewblog.com/2009/08/ interview-with-the-vampire-getting-a-rem ake they’re planning to remake Interview with the vampire and they’re in negotiations to have Robert Downey Jr. play Lestat instead of Tom Cruise. They’re also saying that if the remake of Interview is a hit, they’ll make her other books into movies.

Here’s another article about the remake:

There’s nothing solid yet, but I will say that the rumor of Downey, Jr. playing Lestat is a false rumor. His publicist denied it last week.

great books to read for a 17 year old girl ?
I can’t say i am an avid reader but my reading level is pretty high ( I am currently in Ap English). I tend to get bored in the middle of many books when they lack that something that keeps you reading until you are done. I have the urge to read but it takes me forever to find a book i don’t want to put down. I also don’t like reading teeny books about drugs and suicide. I like vampires, medicine, European History, music, art etc.

Jane Eyre By Charlotte Bronte is my all time favorite book and I saw Pride and Prejudice (loved it) before i could read it, but when i was half way through Mansfield Park, I lost interest, not because i didn’t like it but because it was predicable.

Books that i read and loved

A tree grows in brooklyn by Betty Smith
Time and Again by Jack Finney
Frankenstein Mary Shelly
One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Angels and Demons (Hated the DaVinci Code)
Interview With a Vampire
I am the cheese Robert Cormier ( a long time ago)
Doomed Queen Anne( a long time ago)

Every Shakespeare play i read i liked ( Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Hamlet, and Othello)

Books I remember reading

Animal Farm
Dracula
Brown Girl Brown Stones
The Scarlet letter (it was okay but i read a short story by Hawthorne called Rappacinni’s daughter and loved it)
Great Expectations
Huckleberry Finn ( hated it )
Tuesday’s with Morrie
Gossip Girl
All the Harry Potter Books ( but i am a little too old for that now)

I don’t know please Help ME! Thank you to anyone who replies

First of all Jane Eyre is my favorite book too for over a decade.
Some other classics I can recommend are:

The woman in white (mystery, madness, love, suspense)
Rebeca (inspired by Jane Eyre in a more suspense-murder trend)
Wuthering Heights (written by Emily Bronte, violent but passionate)
The tenant of the wildfell hall (Ann Bronte mystery and marital danger)

They are all wonderful

Hey hey! So I am also an older teen and an avid reader! My taste is very random and I have read anything I can get my hands on…

So I’d try:

The Truth About Forever, and Just Listen (Sarah Dessen)–adorable

The Artemis Fowl series (by Eoin Colfer)–usually for younger kids but I found it FASCINATING

The Twilgiht Saga (Stephenie Meyer)–you either love it or hate it

The Time Traveler’s Wife (?)–long but the concepts are, well, wow.

Ella Enchanted (Gail Carson Levine)–for younger kids generally but a must-read

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian (Sherman Alexie)–hilarious, simply hilarious.

The Gemma Doyle series (Libba Bray)–a little dark but incredibly witty and it has it’s moments of genius; great concepts and plot! I personally didn’t like the last book so if you must have happy ending then this isn’t for you

The Princess Diaries (Meg Cabot)–a guilty but worthy pleasure; like chocolate!

And I have dabbled into romances and read by reccomendation only. I’ll tell you now some romances are cringe-worthy but some love stories I’ll keep in my heart forever:

Comanche Moon (Catherine Anderson)–beautiful

The Spymaster’s Lady (Joanna Bourne)–gritty and amazing

Lord of Fire (Gaelen Foley)–wow

Flower’s from the Storm (Laura Kinsale)–!!!!

Mine Till Midnight (Lisa Kleypas)–cliche but amazingly well written

The Bridgerton Series (Julia Quinn)–HILARIOUS MUST-READ

Stephenie Plum Series (Janet Evanovich)–hilarious if it’s your style

Happy reading! :)

P.S. Tell me what you think of these!

I'm leaving my abusive husband, what am I entitiled for with child support in Canada?
SORRY FOR ALL THE DETAILS

PLEASE PLEASE I NEED HELP AND I’M WORRIED ABOUT MY CHILD!

my husband is an extreme mama’s boy, he has over $50,000 in his account, he gives me no money or allowance, I’ve already asked for $40 per wk and he said NO with so many other words (his income is $1,600.00 per wk)

I am not working since over a yr I’ve got laid off

with my savings I’ve been living off of my credit card to buy cloths for my son, snacks sometimes with school and the odd school raffles, I buy all gifts at xmas for my son and address all ‘from mom and dad’, even my own dental bills and my sons dental bills I take care of

he does nothing other than pay the bills, buy lavish groceries what him and his parents need….an average grocery bill is $300 per wk or sometimes $200 and he pays for his parents groceries, although they have more than enough money , came here as immigrants and now have disability

what it all comes down to is this i called his dad one night to ask him to tell his son to stop calling me names ( i don’t ike the fact that i complain to them but he listens to his parents) then his drunk father curesed me called me a whore and used the F word
he hung up the phone

i told my husband ur dad just cussed me MY HUSBAND STARTED CURSING ME TOO IN FRONT OF MY 4 YR OLD seconds after my mom in law calls and screams at me at this point I’m on the phone talking and crying with knots in my stomach, I’m christian and they are Hindu’s and they were accusing me of black Magic bc my husbands sister had a string of bad luck………………what they were saying makes no sense

I left twice before I had my son and my husband kept running to me and crying, I felt sorry and took him back he promised to change but he always listens to his family over me, when i was on the phone crying to my mom saying to her that I’m a good person, and when afterlife should ever come they will see me in the heaven with God….then he screams ‘Who? you? you have a f*ing black heart" my mom is in NY and she is sooooo hurt to hear he said that bc we are all christians and our conversations almost once a month consist of talking about God

also he’s an alcoholic and was already treated for ulcer, he drinks at home every night about 3-8 beers ON WORK NIGHTS, and gets drunk most wk ends at his parents house because my husband spends his wk ends with them not us……….and he drinks with his father

my plans are to leave nx wk with my 4 yr old going to my friends so she’ll drive me around to see what help i can get……if his income is $6,400 per month and I’m not working I hope to find a cheap basement and have him pay the rent, babysitting fees ( bc I will be looking for a job) food etc……..AM I ENTITLED TO THIS WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR ALMOST 12 YRS………… all I want is about $2,500 a month which is not even half of his income..he makes $6,400 per month……….plus I would like $20,000 from his account since he has $57,000 saved already

Please. You live in Canada. Sure he makes $1600/week, but with your shitty socialist taxes, he gets to take home about $50 of that.
INTERNET HATE MACHINE CXXXVI | Feb 09, 2010

You are entitled to half the assets the two of you now own. I’d be amazed if you got anything near that amount in child support.
Poppy | Feb 09, 2010

you are entitled to half of everything he has. You should be granted what you ask for for the support of your son if you take this to court. If you tell him what you are doing he should pay you something on a mutual agreement but he sounds pigheaded and probably wont give you anything. I can see this going to court. He has been an unreasonable husband, I dont blame you for leaving him.

Does this sound okay?any improvements?
The thick consistency of grey mist was lurking out in the tall dark evergreen. It was if the stalker of the night was watching us in silence.
There was no breeze tonight, just a cold, frozen layer that lingered in the air, my breath was like a fine screen of clingfilm compared to the fog.

I lifted my heavy foot, something crunched. Leaves flooded the floor beneath me, more steps, more crunches.
The short distance to the old, wooden door felt like a commute miles long. One step at a time, i maneged to climb the ancient wood stair and reach the withered door.

My delicate fingers traced the lines and shaped that was imprinted on the door. The coldness had seeped through my pale hands, numbness had overpowered all feelings in my fingers.
I rapidly brought my hand to the door, and bashed harshly, the surroundings suddenly shock with a fierce power, which abruptly stoped after the fourth knock.
Fumbling could be heard from behind the door, someone was rushing to greet me.

The clinking of locks was all that could be heard, with a power full turn of the handle, and shove of the door, i was welcomed into the deserted home by my boyfriend. His windswept hair shone copper strands highlighted by the dim light that radiated from the living room.

We quickly paced from the hall into the tiny living-room. The red bricks had started to crumble through time, leaving gashes in the walls. The isolated shelf which held the telly was looking damaged and frail, dust had settled like thick white snow, which had turned a dark shade of grey over time.

The angled glance in his eyes, and small hand gestures, lured me over to the couch, where i threw myself to the back of the seat. He shuffled slightly to the old, dark cabnet and with urgency picked a DVD from the few dozen he had.

(this is NOT finished and is ament to be a story (small story) i have noticed its mainly descrpition, and have planned whats going to happen, so i dont need answers which say "its not a story..blah.blah.blah" because i know its not)

sorry i sound arsey today D: i dont mean to be so sorry.

Was My Mum Wrong In Saying This To Me?
First of all i’m 14 and this all happened when i was 14.Well, a few months ago my Nan and me had a argument as she was being mean to me because i wasn’t talking loud enough infront of my cousins ( by the way i am a elective mute which is a phycological mental disorder) lol :) and me being emotional i cried. My mum who witnessed everything sided with my nan instead. THe worst thing is, they both know about my condition and that i can’t control it. I can talk normally to everyone at school easily but in primary school i wouldn’t say a word to anyone. So anyways that all happened and when we got home i was really angry at my mum for not sticking up for me …her daughter? I was so unbelievably angry and upset about the whole situation. I mean i know that my mum loves her mum and her sister so much but really her own daughter should come before them ? I was crying my eyes out in front of her and she did nothing ? So anyway, about 3 weeks later of arguments between me and my mum she said that i had to go and see my nan before the school holidays ended (this was in summer) and i said no….obviously!, Then she started crying and said that she got abused by her granddad, sexually. And said that she hasn’t told anyone apart from my dad, my oldest sister and one of her close friends. She then told me that if she ever told her mum or dad that it would ruin her family and that i shouldnt tell any1 she told me. I started to cry aswell and i ended up going to see my nan the very next day. Now, 5 months later i’m thinking about that day and i’m starting to realise how wrong that was. I’m 14 years old and my mum told me she was abused by her mum’s dad.? Why would she do that? I think she was sort of emotionally blackmailing me to go see my nan. And i totally hate what my great granddad did to my mum but that does not excuse her to emotionally blackmail me does it? i need advise on what to do because i am starting to seriously be done with her. I mean i can live without her, i don’t need her now. I just think it was disgusting what she did. Am i over reacting? What do you guys think about this and what do you think i should do?
CoeyG: umm, how can you say that?
so i forgot to put the s before the e? so what and for your information it used to be called elective mutism. they are the same thing. I am soooooo sorry i made a mistake but really you didn’t even help my with my question….. thanks

Thanks to everyone who actually answered my question though :)
I’m sorry if it sounded arrogant, I didn’t mean it to come out like that.

at the age of 14 you are a very good writer, you over reacting you should talk to your mother about what bothering you

| Dec 23, 2009

I think your should blackmail her back with it. dont go right out and tell someone just use it to get what you want
THE OK MAN | Dec 23, 2009

Um……

The truth hurts, physically and mentally. It must have bee really hard for your mum to have told you that. you have to realize how she would be feeling. I understand how you feel, your disorder must be hard for you but surely your mum and nan must understand. Think about it, it started with the most small thing, so surely it can end with the most smallest thing. You mum must really want to connect with you if she told you her secret, so you’ve gotta respect that. Talk to you mum.

I know its hurting for you but I beg you not to let anger control you. Its annoying to be taken a foe but you mum will always be your mum irregardless of who she is. There is a right season for everything and trust me everyone pays in one way or another for ill treating people and there is gonna be a time when she is gonna have to pay for what she is doing. You will get shocked when people are haunted by things they have done on the past and want your forgiveness.

I would be very careful hun.
You never know you mum could have been telling you the truth and you not believing could make it worse.
I would definitely not move and live without her as in my opinion your to young to really.

I have a son who is 3 and i do not get on with my mum well enough but i know that i would have never not spoken to her nice around my nana( I love a lot) because i wouldn’t want to risk hurting her.
So maybe your mum wasn’t intent-ally blackmailing you maybe she wants you to see your nan because your nan obviously loves you and your mum does not want to hurt either of you.

As for the argument i can understand you not been happy and i understand it was wrong for them to shout at you but maybe if you actually told them what was going on they might understand a bit.

I defiantly wouldn’t go and live without her as if she hasn’t told anyone or many people about it then she will not be in the best frame of mind and will do things that are wrong till she speaks openly about whats happened to her. And not just that but i left home when i was 18 thinking i was ready also pregnant and realised how much i needed my family even though it seemed i did everything myself.

w8 so she just came out of the blue in an emotional moment and told u
i don’t see what that had to do with the argument u were having
but no i think she should not have told u it is wrong to tell ur daughter at a difficult age a thing like that
i don’t think she was black mailing u
but it is defiantly wrong to dump that on u
there is nothing u can really do now u know and it has been said
u could maybe tell ur mum that u think it is wrong of her to tell u but u have to be cearfull how u say it cos it is obviously a hard thing for her and u need to be cearfull not to make it sound like u only care about ur self. cos the traumatic thing happened to her not u

Well she wants t you to go to your nan because your mum thinks its best that she still stay closes to the family and she proberly told you so you could understand why you should be close to them. Your mum didnt want to tell anyone because it’ll wreck the family and that is why she told you.. so you could GO!

There is no doubt that nanas can be very annoying. I think they feel that there grandchildren are equal to their own children, so they can boss them along as they please. I am an adult male with a 15 year old daughter and have had many argument with my wife when I feel my mother-in-law interfers and trys to boss my daughter. Like I said, the older the get, the crankier they get and the more controling they tend to be. Because Moms always back their mothers, you have to learn to play the game and do what you can to keep the peace. Bite you tongue and hold back your thoughts. When your mom is in a good mood, quietly explain to her why your your nana gets on your nerves and what possibly can be done to correct it. I’m sure your mom wants you to get along with her. As far as bringing up that other thing, I personally feel there was no need to do that. All that did was upset you more. You can’t change what happened in the past, so try to look to the future and be positive. You won’t be a child forever and in time, you’ll look back and see that these issues you have now will be small. You’ll have bigger issues that are more important. Try to clear your mind of negative thoughts, and enjoy your childhood. You’ll have plenty of time later to tackle responsiblities. Have a Merry Christmas.

Keep yourself away from her for a while.. and try to empty your mind out and try to think about what she must feel like. Try to keep away from her for a while and talking about your problems to a close Friend might lighten u up!

is this a good poem i have written?
I call it ‘Earth’, do you think its good, read it slowly, i’ve been working on it for a long time

Planet Earth, my home, my place
A capricious anomaly in the sea of space
Planet Earth are you just
Floating by, a cloud of dust
A minor globe, about to bust
A piece of metal bound to rust
A speck of matter in a mindless void
A lonely spaceship, a large asteroid

Cold as a rock without a hue
Held together with a bit of glue
Something tells me this isn’t true
You are my sweetheart soft and blue
Do you care, have you a part
In the deepest emotions of my own heart
Tender with breezes caressing and whole
Alive with music, haunting my soul.

In my veins I’ve felt the mystery
Of corridors of time, books of history
Life songs of ages throbbing in my blood
Have danced the rhythm of the tide and flood
Your misty clouds, your electric storm
Were turbulent tempests in my own form
I’ve licked the salt, the bitter, the sweet
Of every encounter, of passion, of heat
Your riotous color, your fragrance, your taste
Have thrilled my senses beyond all haste
In your beuaty, I’ve known the how
Of timeless bliss, this moment of now

Planet Earth are you just
Floating by, a cloud of dust
A minor globe, about to bust
A piece of metal bound to rust
A speck of matter in a mindless void
A lonely spacship, a large asteroid
Cold as a rock without a hue
Held together with a bit of glue
Something tells me this isn’t true
You are my sweetheart gentle and blue
Do you care, have you a part
In the deepest emotions of my own heart
Tender with breezes caressing and whole
Alive with music, haunting my soul.
Planet Earth, gentle and blue
With all my heart, I love you

Absolutely love it. The rhyme scheme and meter are superb. You can practically make a song out of it. Keep up the good work :)
